Biographical Details

Daw Pwint Thawdar Maung was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer in July 2024. Prior to this role, she served as the Head of Risk Management and Assurance at Yoma Group starting in September 2023 and was the Chief Financial Officer of Yoma Fleet Limited from 2019 until July 2024. Her career journey with Yoma Group began in 2018 as the Financial Controller at Yoma Heavy Equipment Company Limited where she was responsible for financial and operations management in the agricultural and construction machinery sector. Before joining Yoma Group, she worked at Ooredoo Myanmar Limited in 2017 as a Senior Pricing Manager, where she managed pricing strategies for telecommunications services in alignment with the Ministry of Communications, Myanmar.

Her extensive experience also includes working in Singapore, where she managed critical financial and accounting functions at the Central Provident Fund Board, Lazada Southeast Asia Pte Ltd, the regional flagship of Alibaba Group, and NCS Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore Telecommunications Ltd, from 2008 to 2017.

Daw Pwint Thawdar Maung is a Myanmar citizen with an MSc in Professional Accountancy from the University of London and a BA in Accountancy and Financial Management from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom. She is also a Chartered Certified Accountant, accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
