U Nyan Myint Aung

Biographical Details

U Nyan Myint Aung has been serving as the Acting Chief Operations Officer at Yoma Bank since January 2025, bringing nearly three decades of experience in banking operations, retail banking, international banking, treasury operations, cash management, product development, and risk management. His leadership and operational expertise continue to support the Bank’s commitment to delivering efficient and innovative banking solutions in Myanmar.

Since joining Yoma Bank in 1995, U Nyan Myint Aung has held key leadership roles across various branches and departments. Prior to his current position, he served as Head of Core Operations, Deputy Head of Branch Operations & Cash Management, and Acting Chief of Products, Services & Channels throughout his extensive career at the Bank, demonstrating his deep expertise in banking operations and strategic leadership.

U Nyan Myint Aung holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Distance Education, Mandalay, a Master of Business Administration from Meiktila University of Economics, and a Master of Banking and Finance from Yangon University of Economics. He is also a Certified Expert in Risk Management from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
