The initiative can benefit about 53,000 individuals across the nation contributing towards the wellbeing of communities and families

Yangon, Myanmar – 07 April 2022 – As part of “We Care” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Yoma Bank celebrated World Health Day on 7th April 2022 by contributing “26,300 Share to Care Family Care Packages” towards our communities, customers and employees through our branches across Myanmar to support our customers and communities as a precaution to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In the effort to alleviate the impacts of COVID-19 on the communities, Yoma Bank provided humanitarian supports of 26,300 family care packages consisting of hand sanitizers, cloth masks, wet tissue, Vitamin C and electrolyte beverage for rehydration for our customers, communities and employees. The initiative can benefit about 53,000 individuals across the nation and bring positive impact on their livelihood.

The Share to Care Family Care Packages were distributed via Yoma Bank branches nationwide to all our walk-in customers from the communities on 7th April 2022. The employee care packages will also be distributed to all Yoma Bank employees.

U Kyaw Soe Lin, Chief Consumer Banking Officer of Yoma Bank said, “Yoma Bank is fully devoted to contributing to the wellbeing of the communities we serve by supporting the needed healthcare supplies in these “Share to Care Family Care Packages”. We are pleased that this initiative will be helping our communities across the nation. We hope this initiative has positive impact on our communities’ COVID-19 prevention. We will continue to consistently commit future support to our communities and environment through different programs. Through our “We Care” CSR Initiatives, Yoma Bank is committed to contributing towards our communities to the best of our ability.”

Ko Soe Min from North Dagon branch’s customer said, “We are happy to receive this gift from Yoma Bank. All the items are very useful in daily life especially during this time. Yoma Bank always takes care of their customers in whatever they do.”

Last year, Yoma Bank also donated to our communities in Hlaing Thar Yar, Yangon and Northern Shan State with require medical supplies and health education program impacting up to 38,000 individuals.

The Bank is committed to uplifting the current standards by implementing positive impact initiatives such as financial inclusions, women empowerment, community development and environmental awareness. Yoma Bank is accelerating its CSR initiatives on going year and aiming to positively impact the community to build a better Myanmar together with its communities.
